Situated Learning Tools
The Engage Adaptation Situated Learning: Case, Story, and Place Award projects will leverage two main applications:
- Augmented Reality Enhances Learning (ARIS)
- Case Scenario / Critical Reader
Case Scenario / Critical Reader (CSCR) Builder
CSCR is a desktop application for creating a variety of web-based learning materials. Text, images, video, and audio are combined along with embedded quiz questions to create compelling interactive critical readings, scenarios with decision branching, simulated dialogues, story-like narratives, media rich case studies, and much more. CSCR provides a framework for integrating multiple media elements and web resources to make content come alive with interactivity. Learners can interact with and explore course content, make decisions, and receive corrective feedback.

Augmented Reality Interactive Storytelling (ARIS)
ARIS is a user-friendly, open-source platform for creating and playing mobile games, tours, and interactive stories. With Apple iOS devices (iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad), students use GPS locations and QR codes to experience a hybrid world of virtual interactive characters, items, and media placed in physical space.
